Advertiser Disclosure: How Offer Links Pay Us

CreditCardSignups.com (the "Site") receives compensation from third-party affiliate and advertising partners. This page explains what that compensation is, how it can affect what you see on the Site and what it never affects. We publish it so that you can read every review and ranking knowing exactly how the Site is paid.

How we are compensated

Many of the credit cards reviewed on the Site carry an offer link, usually labeled "See current offer", "Apply Now" or "Compare featured offers". When you click one of those links, apply for the card and are approved, a third-party affiliate or advertising partner pays us a referral fee. The fee is agreed between the partner and the issuer and varies by card, by partner and over time. You pay nothing to use the Site or to apply through a link on it.

We are not paid for page views, for listing a card or for writing about an issuer. Compensation currently comes only from approved applications made through offer links, and no partner pays us to publish or withhold a review.

What compensation can affect

Compensation may influence how, where and in what order offers appear on the Site. Specifically:

• Which cards are featured on the home page, in hub introductions and in similar featured placements, and the order of those featured placements.
• The order of cards inside a category hub when two or more cards have the same editorial rank. Hubs are sorted by editorial rank first. Compensation breaks ties between cards with equal rank.
• Which cards carry an offer link of their own. A card we cannot be paid for is still reviewed and rated by the same method. Its pages link to our review and to the issuer's terms page, and they may show a general link to featured partner offers, which is an offer link and is marked as one.

What compensation never affects

Ratings, review content and recommendations do not change with compensation. Every card is rated on the same four sub-ratings (rewards, benefits, fees and flexibility) using the same weighting, regardless of whether a partner pays us for it or how much. Reviews are written and edited by our editorial team, and partners do not see or approve content before it is published. The Editorial Policy describes the process in full.

Not every card or issuer is included

The Site does not review every credit card or every issuer in the United States. Coverage is limited by editorial capacity and, in part, by which offers our partners make available. A card that does not appear on the Site may be a better fit for you than any card that does. Ratings and rankings compare only the cards we cover, so treat the Site as one source among several and check issuers we do not cover.

How to recognize an offer link

Offer links are marked as sponsored and are usually labeled "See current offer", "Apply Now" or "Compare featured offers". Clicking one passes you through a brief redirect on our domain, which records an anonymous click event, and then opens the partner's or issuer's site in a new tab. The Privacy Policy describes what that click event contains and what it does not. Other links on the Site, including links to an issuer's terms page and links between our own pages, do not pay us.

We are not the issuer

the operator of CreditCardSignups.com is not a bank, lender or card issuer and does not take applications or make credit decisions. Every approval, credit limit and interest rate is decided solely by the issuer. Offers, bonuses, fees and rates are set by the issuer, can change without notice and can differ by applicant. Verify every detail on the issuer's site before you apply, because the issuer's terms control. If the issuer's page shows a different offer from the one on the Site, the issuer's page is correct and ours is out of date.

Where this disclosure appears

A short disclosure notice appears near the top of every page that contains an offer link, and a link to this page appears in the footer of every page on the Site. If you are reading a page that shows offer links without a disclosure notice, tell us at editorial@creditcardsignups.com so we can fix it.
