Privacy Policy: What We Collect and Never Sell

This Privacy Policy explains what information the operator of CreditCardSignups.com ("we", "us" or "our") collects when you visit CreditCardSignups.com (the "Site"), how we use and share it, and the rights you have. It takes effect on August 27, 2026. By using the Site you acknowledge the practices described here.

The Site is an informational website with no sign-in, registration or forms. We do not set tracking cookies, build profiles of visitors or sell personal information.

Scope and who we are

This policy applies only to the Site, which is operated by the operator of CreditCardSignups.com. It does not apply to the sites of card issuers, affiliate or advertising partners or anyone else we link to. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which govern once you leave the Site.

The Site has no user accounts, login, forms, newsletter or comments. The only way to communicate with us is by email, using the addresses on the contact page.

Information we collect

Personal information means information that identifies, relates to or could reasonably be linked to you. Most of what the Site handles is not personal information. Here is what is collected, grouped by source.

Request logs kept by our providers

Our hosting, content delivery and security providers process every request made to the Site so they can serve pages and defend the Site against attacks. Their standard request logs include the IP address the request came from, the browser user-agent string, the referring page, the requested URL and the date and time. They process that data on our behalf, and we do not use it to identify or contact visitors.

Aggregate analytics

We may use privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics to understand how the Site is used. The reports we see are aggregate counts: page views, referring sites and the countries visitors came from. They do not identify individuals, do not use cookies or persistent identifiers, and do not follow you to other websites.

Offer-click events

When you click an offer link (usually labeled "See current offer", "Apply Now" or "Compare featured offers"), a link on our domain records an anonymous click event before sending you on to the partner's or issuer's site. The event contains a randomly generated click id, the identifier of the card, the page the click came from, the country the request came from, a one-way hash of your browser's user-agent string and a timestamp. A one-way hash is a scrambled value that cannot be turned back into the original text. We use it to tell automated traffic from people, not to identify you.

The click event does not include your IP address, name, email address or anything else that identifies you. It lets us measure which pages send readers to offers, detect fraudulent or automated clicks, and reconcile compensation with our partners.

Information you send us by email

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use that information to respond to you and to act on what you sent, such as correcting a review. Do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers, statements or other sensitive financial information. We do not need it and would rather not hold it.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set cookies, and we do not use local storage or similar browser technologies, for tracking, advertising or analytics. There is no advertising pixel, social media widget or cross-site tracker on the Site.

Our hosting and security providers may set strictly necessary cookies, for example to distinguish a real browser from an automated attack or to route your request reliably. Those cookies are required for the Site to function and are not used to track you across websites or to build a profile.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because we set none for tracking, doing so does not change your experience with our content, although blocking a strictly necessary cookie could occasionally stop a page from loading while a security check runs.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• Deliver the Site and keep it available and fast.
• Protect the Site, our partners and our readers from attacks, abuse and fraud, including automated clicks on offer links.
• Understand, in aggregate, which pages readers use and where they come from.
• Attribute clicks on offer links so that our partners can calculate compensation.
• Respond to your emails and act on corrections, requests and complaints.
• Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Use and protect our rights.

None of that information is used to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you, and none of it is used to build profiles of visitors.

How we share information

Service providers

The providers that host, deliver, secure and measure the Site process information on our behalf. They may use it only to provide their services to us and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.

Affiliate and advertising partners

Clicking an offer link sends you to a third-party affiliate or advertising partner or directly to the card issuer. The address you are sent to includes referral parameters. Those parameters identify us as the referring publisher and identify the card offer. They do not contain your name, email address, IP address or any other personal information from us. Once you arrive, the partner or issuer receives standard request data directly from your browser and may set its own cookies on its own domain, all under its own privacy policy.

Partners report to us when referrals result in approved applications so that compensation can be calculated. Those reports do not include your name, your application details or your credit information. We never see applications, personal information or approval decisions.

Legal requirements and safety

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of the Site, our readers, our partners or the public, to investigate fraud or abuse, or to enforce our Terms of Use.

Business transfers

If the Site or the business that operates it is sold, merged, reorganized or transferred, information we hold may pass to the successor, which will be bound by this policy until it publishes a new one.

What partners and issuers do with your information

Any information you provide on a partner's or issuer's site, including a credit card application, is collected under that party's own privacy policy and terms, which we do not control and are not responsible for. Read the issuer's privacy notice before you apply. Questions about an application, a credit decision or data an issuer holds about you must go to the issuer.

We do not sell or share personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold it in the preceding twelve months. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising, do not use it for profiling, and do not disclose it to data brokers. Because the Site has no accounts and no marketing list, we send no marketing messages.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over your personal information. Because we hold so little, many requests will end with us confirming that we have nothing identifiable about you. We respond to every request either way.

California residents

The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives California residents the right to know what personal information a business collects and how it is used and disclosed, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Notice at collection: the categories of personal information the Site handles are identifiers (an IP address in provider request logs and an email address if you write to us), internet or network activity (pages requested, referring pages and offer-click events) and coarse geolocation (the country a request came from). We collect them for the purposes listed under "How we use information" and retain them as described under "Data retention." We do not sell or share them, and we do not collect sensitive personal information.

California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code section 1798.83) lets California residents ask what personal information a business has disclosed to third parties for those parties' direct marketing. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.

Residents of other US states

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have rights to confirm whether we process their personal information, to access, correct or delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sales of personal information and profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. We do not engage in any of those practices. Whether or not a particular state law applies to a business of our size, we honor these requests from any US resident.

If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response and stating that you are appealing. We will review the appeal and respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state's attorney general.

Nevada residents

Nevada law lets residents opt out of the sale of certain covered information. We do not sell covered information as Nevada law defines a sale. You may still send an opt-out request to legal@creditcardsignups.com and we will record it.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland

The Site is directed to United States residents, and the cards it reviews are offered in the United States. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing are our legitimate interests in operating, securing and measuring the Site and in attributing offer clicks, balanced against your rights, and your consent where the law requires it. You may access, rectify, erase or restrict processing of your personal information, obtain a portable copy, object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Any information we hold is stored and processed in the United States, whose laws may not provide the same protections as your home jurisdiction. Where the law requires a transfer mechanism, we and our providers rely on legally recognized safeguards for transfers to the United States.

How to exercise your rights

Send your request to legal@creditcardsignups.com with the subject line "Privacy request." Tell us which right you are exercising and, if you have emailed us before, which address you used, since that is the only identifying information we could plausibly hold. We may ask for details to verify that a request comes from the person it concerns, and we may decline a request we cannot verify. We will not ask for more than we need.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if the agent provides written proof of your permission. We may also confirm the request with you directly. We respond within the time required by applicable law, do not charge a fee for a reasonable number of requests, and will not treat you differently for making one.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a Global Privacy Control signal to indicate that you do not want your personal information sold or shared. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for the signal to switch off. Where the law treats the signal as a valid opt-out, we honor it.

Because we do not track visitors across other websites, our practices do not change in response to browser Do Not Track signals. The Site behaves the same whether or not the signal is on.

Children

The Site is not directed to anyone under 18, and credit cards are not available to minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, email legal@creditcardsignups.com and we will delete it.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, then delete it or reduce it to aggregate statistics that no longer relate to any individual. Provider request logs are kept for the short period needed to operate and secure the Site. Offer-click events are kept as long as needed to reconcile compensation, detect fraud and resolve disputes. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and to record corrections. Information may be kept longer where the law requires it or where it is needed to establish or defend legal claims.

Security

Reasonable administrative and technical measures protect the information we handle, including encrypted connections and limited access to the small amount of data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email can be intercepted in transit, which is one more reason not to send us sensitive financial details.

Third-party links

The Site links to issuer sites, partner sites and other resources. This policy does not cover them. Their operators are responsible for their own privacy practices, and a link from the Site is not an endorsement of those practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we post the revised version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change materially reduces your rights or expands how we use personal information, we will give more prominent notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
